Suggested use
This rice is raw and must be cooked to unlock its deliciousness. Using a fine mesh sieve, rinse 1 cup rice under cold water for 1 minute and drain. Combine rice and 11/2 cups water in a 2 qt. saucepan and soak for 30 minutes. Bring soaked rice and water to a boil. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer and cook for 20 minutes. With lid on, remove from heat and let steam for 10 minutes. Fluff it up with a fork and dig in. Serves 4-5. TIP: If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, no big deal! Try adding 1-2 Tbsp. water and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.Refrigeration recommended for extended shelf life.
